Marvellous breakfasts, helpful and best staff.
Bright room, with a fairly clean bathroom and good beds. Great facilities there. Gorgeous building, absolutely perfect location close to the grounds of the Carrigaholt castle, Ireland and a very nice pub in the nearby village.

The B&B is located in a beautiful building in a comfortable and magnificent location on the Shannon River estuary. We were just a short walk away from the coast, the bay, Carrigaholt Castle, and a very nice pub. the room had comfortable beds.

Upon entering the B&B, I was immediately taken aback by the cozy and charming decor. The vintage furniture and floral wallpapers reminded me of my childhood home. The common areas were well-maintained, providing comfortable seating for us seniors to relax and socialize. The layout of the B&B was thoughtfully designed with wide corridors and handrails, making it easily accessible for older guests like myself. It was a delightful and homely atmosphere that made me feel right at ease.
I would have appreciated if the children working there had offered some assistance with carrying our luggage up the stairs.

We stayed at Glencarrig B&B for a weekend getaway and it was perfect. The location was scenic yet within walking distance of the village. Mary, the owner, was incredibly friendly and hospitable. She welcomed us with tea and cake upon arrival and even made us home soup and sandwiches after our run. The amenities were great, with a pool table, dart board, and cozy sitting room. Mary's breakfast was delicious. our stay was amazing and we highly recommend it!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

I recently had the absolute best stay at a charming B&B in Carrigaholt. the rooms were simple yet comfortable, and the sea view was fantastic. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a delicious homemade apple tart, which was a delightful touch. the host, Mary Aston, was not only a talented cook but also a wealth of knowledge about the area. the breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous, with a variety of homemade fruit compotes, yogurt, and granola, as well as hot options like omelettes and fry-ups. I must say, it was the best breakfast of our entire holiday! Mary went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even offering rides and showing us the hidden gems of Loop Head.
This B&B is truly exceptional and definitely a hidden gem that should not be missed. Cons: Didn't dislike anything about the property.

The value for money at this B&B was excellent and the room was clean, spacious, and modern. The location near the sea in rural Ireland was beautiful and the staff, especially Mary, were helpful and respectful.
The food for breakfast could have been improved with a better selection.

We got amazing value for our money at this B&B. The room was clean, spacious, and modern with a private entrance. The location was perfect for exploring the Loop Head and the staff, especially Mary, were friendly and cute.
The only thing that could make the breakfast even better would be to have a wider variety of options. The food for breakfast was delicious, but it would have been nice to see more variety in the morning spread.
